Workshops

Meet the STAFF  Info Reservations Release Form

The Cabin Path is offering art/nature workshops that help to teach study and organizational skills.  Located on 52 acres in South Fulton County, Georgia,  it offers walking trails, an authentic log cabin, fishing, wildlife, wildflowers, and a chance to escape the hectic lifestyles of today. Native American relics have been found on this property, and the remnants of a medicine wheel. It is by RESERVATION ONLY, and not open to the general public. The number of participants will be limited to insure that safety and individualized attention are not overlooked.

As an author, a former elementary teacher, a mother, and a home school teacher, I see the need for the youth of today connect with nature and to appreciate its beauty.  These workshops will be a “hands on” experience.  It will involve walking, and will be conducted out doors, weather permitting.  Comfortable shoes and weather appropriate clothing are a must! In case Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate, some of the workshops can be conducted indoors, or you are given the opportunity to re- schedule. PLEASE notify us in advance of any special needs!

The workshops are for all ages.  Parents are encouraged to stay, and if you would prefer not to take the trails with us, you are welcome to bring a book and sit at the log cabin and enjoy a unique journey back in time! We will begin with a trail walk, discussion/class, and then follow up with an art activity.  Please see the schedule, and if you have a specific interest, let us know!  Tutoring for specific subjects is available, but often a “positive” learning experience will help to build confidence and improve attitudes about school.
